I remember when I got my first pda. I was so excited about being able to pretty much carry around a pc in my pocket. The problem was I didn't really have a wireless handheld pda. I was still a slave to a cord; a USB cord.

While technically I had Bluetooth, I didn't have an compatible Bluetooth phone. So I had to sync over the USB cord and this was very problematic at times. What I thought was convenient could turn into a work intensive process. I wanted a wireless handheld pda, but the pda I had didn't live up to my expectations.

My how times have changed. These days pdas do so many more things than they used to and without the necessity of wires. Wireless handheld pdas now have wifi technology to make them what they were promised to be all along. Now you can connect to either your home network or internet hotspots and download and transfer data and apps without the old sync procedures that were so time consuming.

A wireless handheld pda allows you to have your office on the go. You can make calls, check emails, work on documents even offer presentations using these wonderful portable devices that fit in your pocket. Convenience is part of the price and it is priceless to have such convenience.

Think about the office of old, the paper, the rolodex, the clunky office machines that took up half the space and most of all the books and ledgers that had to be dealt with by hand and stored in large spaces because of their bulk. Now, at your fingertips you can store data that once took thousands of square feet in a device that you can hold in your hand. Technology is miraculous and yet we take it for granted these days because it is so everyday. We don't have to think about it and that is exactly why things like wireless handheld pdas were invented.

Now the office is your favorite restaurant, your local park or even your bedroom. You are not confined to the same four walls or to a stuffy cubicle to conduct business. The wireless handheld pda has ended all of that. So the next time you are longing for the old days, think long and hard about what it was like before such wonderful devices.
